Day 5: Julie

I took an alternate route to work this morning so I would avoid traffic. It worked!  Apparently I am regenerating some brain cells...FINALLY.  The fog seems to have lifted.  In fact, today I was VERY clear headed and quite productive! I was seriously craving bread this morning. I am pretty sure I had a dream about a sandwich last night, right after the dream about a truck in front of me backing up, wrecking my car, and then driving away. Weird.

I ate breakfast after getting to work today.  Woke up a bit too late to make it happen at home.  Sweet potato hash (with green apples and sweet onion) and a chicken apple sausage link. Black coffee.  Not a whole lot of food, but I was FULL!

Lunch was tarragon chicken with zucchini noodles. I didn't even bother taking the salad with me today, since I haven't really been interested in them this week.  I threw in a handful of unsweetened coconut flakes as a "dessert" to my lunch. Man, I think I could eat that stuff for every meal! haha

I totally forgot to eat my pre workout eggs and I didn't take my post workout snack with me, so that got completely missed today. Which didn't really seem to be a problem, honestly.  I had great energy throughout the workout.  Seemed to me I sweated more than usual, but I could be making that up.

Dinner was fabulous, again tonight.  I had some cherry tomatoes left, so I cut them in half and sautéed them with garlic, onion, and fresh basil.  I tossed in some chicken and a little bit of chicken broth and cooked until the tomatoes were soft.  I ate this with a side of a half an avocado. SO DELISH!!  I put the other half of it up for lunch tomorrow...or I would have eaten the whole thing!

Things I've noticed today:

It's taking less food to satisfy me at meals, and I'm not hungry in between.

I just don't love coconut milk in my coffee.  I tried again today.   The coconut milk changes the texture significantly.  I'll stick to fat with my meals and keep my coffee black.

My energy levels are increasing.  As is my flexibility. I'm not sure how the latter is related to Whole30.  It probably isn't.  But I did notice it today, so it makes the list!

I haven't noticed the "Kill All The Things" mode much today.

I suppose I should have asked those around me, though. Kanye never seems to notice himself, either, ya know?
