Yesterday was another great day. I remember reading about the Whole30 and how it utterly changes your life, but I don't know that there are words to describe it well enough. I'll try to summarize it in 6 word increments. :)
Food has no power over me.
I don't have cravings for anything.
I have more energy than ever.
Yep. Those just about sum it up. I feel better than I ever have and am absolutely rocking it out at this point!
After the gym last night, we decided to grab a bite to eat. Ended up at McAlister's Deli where I found it surprisingly easy to find something to eat! I had the pick 2, and chose a half of a salad with chicken, minus the cheese and croutons, and O&V for dressing. I asp had half of the grilled veggie spud with no butter or cheese sauce. I "fancied it up" a bit with some O&V. Was SO yummy.
The phrase "eat to live, don't live to eat" always irked me because I loved food.
Correction: I thought I loved food.
Turns out, I was being controlled by my cravings for unhealthy, sugar and grain laden, low nutritional content, highly addictive "food products." Now I truly understand the eating to live part - and am living a much healthier life as a result. Don't get me wrong. There will be a time and place for indulgences - just not the way they used to live in my world. :)
